Bomber

Bombers are a type of strike craft designed for anti-capital ship combat. Most bombers are armed with Plasma Bombs, and while short-ranged they can cause heavy damage to a large, slow target. However heavy weaponry was occupied with reduced agility and speed, making bombers easy target for fighters or all anti-strike craft weapons. During the Vagyr War both Vaygr and Hiigarans developed advanced bomb technology, allowing bombers to disable subsystems on capital ships. This was particularly useful when dealing with a production ship, as production facilities could be destroyed to remove the ship's effectiveness much more quickly than destroying it.
