Hi Everyone. I recently re-installed my copy of Homeworld 1 to my computer. I have to say, after nearly 10 years, this is still a visually stunning game. I enjoy playing this game with and without mods. However, I find that the initial levels are a real pain without some financial assistance. 10 years ago, after playing all the way through, I modified my saved game file with a hex-editor and increased my RUs. Unfortunately, I remember it took me at least a week to compare files to find the right hex string. So, if anyone remembers how to edit their saved game files with a hex-editor and can let me know where to find the RU string, I'd appreciate the assistance. Or, more importantly, if there is a tool out there that will make this easier, I'd really appreciate that even more. Otherwise, It will be back to the grind for me.
Sorry, but there is no tools for save-game editing I would know about. Still you can try Homeworld Trainers on Assam Kiith'sid Storehouse. I tested one giving RUs - works perfectly :) (still the amount it gives it IHMO way too huge - it's far more than you can use in game, lol) SkywalkerPL 15:32, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
