The Galactic Council in Norsehound's canonEdit

The Galactic council has been reduced to a handful of independent nations from the original 16 members- some of them being absorbed by the reformed Hiigaran empire after the return of the exiles.

The council itself has no centralized meeting place in the universe, but rather convenes when necessary at an arranged meeting place by high-ranking officials of several nations (usually the leaders of these nations). Until the second homeworld war, the Bentusi played an important (yet discreet) role in the Galactic Counil's policies. After their passing the Hiigarans seem to have taken their place, much to the displeasure of several nations in the council itself.

During the second homeworld war the Galactic council played a supply role in the areas north of the galactic core, while in the galactic south the Ossyrian alliance (A sub-group within the Galactic council) was forced to deal with the Vaygr invasion almost single-handedly. Among the nations still in the Galactic council, some beleive that the Ossyrian alliance might be able to tempter the Hiigaran empire in present times and convince (politically or militarily) the Hiigarans to allow free access to the Eye of Aarran located near their space.
