In Mission 16, the Kuun-Lan tests out the newly repaired Siege Cannon, by using it to destroy the former Clee-San and Hangar Module

OverviewEdit

Thanks to the Bentusi, the Siege Cannon has been repaired. Kiith Somtaaw want to test it on the former Clee-San and Hangar Module (Beast Mothership). However, they don't know where they are located, so they go to the Dark Matter Cluster Faal-Te and find Kiith Maanan there, who are already heading to stop the sector from being infected by the Clee-San. They transmit the data to the Kuun-Lan who hyperspace into the Sojent-Ra System. The Clee-San is reported to have been located at a specific point and Tactical wants it reconned. After coming into range of the Clee-San, the Beast becomes alerted to your presence and sends waves upon waves of ships to attack. The Kuun-Lan manages to set the Siege Cannon and it destroys much of the Beast fleet and disables the Clee-San's energy signature, but it's going critical. To further help their plans, a Worker docks with it and sends an energy pulse, before the Clee-San shortly blows up. The Kuun-Lan begins harvesting, but it's not long until the Beast Mothership appears. After repelling tons of ships, the Siege Cannon is fired again and instantly destroys the Mothership, proving the Cannon to be of working order and they hyperspace off to the Naval Base.

StrategyEdit

Group all of the ships you have around the Kuun-Lan and move it forward straight to the ping. When the Kuun-Lan nears the ping, set the Siege Cannon to the ping and, depending on the distance, will either destroy all of the ships, or do minimalistic damage to them. Once that has been done, send all your ships (except for the Worker) and attack all of the remaining ships in the area. Send the Worker to the Clee-San to complete the objective. After control has been given back to you, move all ships to the South-West of your position and wait for the Beast Mothership to hyperspace in. Once it has, just fight as many ships as possible while using the Siege Cannon to destroy the Beast Mothership. If you do not hit it at close range then the shots will do little damage. Once the Beast Mothership is destroyed, harvest, rebuild and hyperspace to the final level

HintsEdit

Do not recon the Clee-San! It will only trigger repeated waves of Beast Capital Ships to attack. Instead, just move the Kuun-Lan in the direction of the Clee-San and use the Cannon when it gets in range.
