Each good article should have certain key elements. Here is the list of them:
- Name
- Each article should have proper name. See naming policy for more details.
- Structure of article
- From top to bottom:
- Infobox
- Main Content
- Short introduction - few sentences describing the topic of article
- Main content - detailed description of topic and it's history
- Additional sections
- Behind the Scenes
- See Also
- External links
- Sources
- Category - see Category tree for the list of categories
- From top to bottom:
- Formatting and media
- Create links to other articles
- Add images - look for them on New files page. See also the image policy
- Use in-source template for more detailed sourcing - see template page for more detailed help
- If there are any articles close in topic to one you are writing - add links to them in ==See Also== section.
- Add quotes
- Optionally after bold name of article in it's introduction you may add in brackets:
- pronounced - pronouncing of article title in IPA - see Hiigara for example
- also known as - other popular names used for topic of article - see The Great Harbor Ship of Bentus for example
- short - for any shortcuts used for topic of article - see Electromagnetic pulse for example
- Try to find any trivia informations related to the topic and put them in ==Behind the Scenes== section.
