Iifrit Tambuur-sa and his wife Dava Tambuur were the only members of Kiith Tambuur who were on the Gold List. They were placed in cryosleep within the orbital Cryo Trays some months prior to the launch of the Mothership. At the time of the Burning of Kharak, their tray survived but had sustained damage during the Taiidan attack. Iifrit's pod remained functional, but Dava's was irreparably damaged, and she died en route to Hiigara. Following the Hiigaran Landfall, his Cryo Pod was recovered, and he learned the fate of his kiith and his beloved wife. He declared Paaura - an ancient oath of "eternal vengeance" not used since the Heresy Wars - on the Taiidan Empire, or rather the remnants thereof. Soon other Sleepers joined him in his hunt, becoming honorary members of the Kiith Tambuur, Iifrit himself becoming the head kiith-sa. Armed at first with only a single frigate-class vessel, their numbers and resources grew, and Iifrit Tambuur eventually became one of the most notable bounty hunters in the galaxy, collecting prices for over 300 Taiidan war criminals. He also moved away from Hiigara, living primarily in the Taiidan Republic.
