The Imperial Cloning Facility was a heavily guarded facility located in the Taiidan Imperial Palace on Hiigara[citation needed]. Established by Riesstiu I near the end of his life, hoping to be in power for all eternity, Riesstiu ordered that before his natural death, his body would be cloned, and each subsequently clone, upon death, would be cloned as well. This became known as the Clone Doctrine.
The last clone to be produced by the facility was Riesstiu IV the Second, and, after the emperor's death at the hands of the Kushan fleet, the facility and all of it's Gene Banks were destroyed by agents of the Taiidan Rebellion, taking advantage of the chaos caused by the battle in orbit.
