The Progenitor Plasma Cannon is the heavy, long range plasma weapon used onboard Progenitor Dreadnaught, as an addition to the slower-firing Phased Cannon Array. Similar in effect to the commonly used Plasma Bomb Launcher, the forward-facing plasma cannons are effective at taking down frigates and slow-moving targets with hulls below super-capital class strength.
