S'jet vs Sjet[]

It's odd thing with this Sjet/S'jet. In games (checked HW2), and History of Hiigara we have S'jet, when in Cataclysm manual, and HW1 manual it's Sjet. I think that more canon is Sjet, as games canonity is bigger then one in game manuals (sometimes manuals are being made by completly different people then game creators), so moving it to Sjet wasn't proper... yet it's needed to be checked how it was is first Homeword. Hmmm... you may have a point. I'll have to check how its spelled in Homeworld. If you're right about how it's spelled in HW2 than we may have a problem. However, I think we can agree that whichever spelling is used by HW1 is the correct one, right?
Thanks for pointing out the problem. I wasn't aware that S'jet was actually used by canonical souces. Niirfa-sa 17:29 19 April, 2007 (UTC)
Yep, that's the point - to use most popular version. Oh, and in Homeworld 2 you can see S'jet in first move (intro to the game), when 5th picture is shown (Karan in Mothership?). SkywalkerPL 17:40, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I checked Homeworld: Cataclysm, there too Bentusi say S'jet, not Sjet. quote:
"We aided the S'jet persona who was newly unbound. You are not S'jet." — Bentusi to Kuun-Lan
Still it's curious that Cata backstory on relic.com says Karan Sjet
"Deprived of the conscious direction of Karan Sjet, the Mothership's engines are set on automatic" — relic.com
looks like in fact Sjet is most common version. SkywalkerPL 10:23, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I moved the article back to S'jet after doing some research on the subject. As others have pointed out the HW1 manual uses "Sjet" while other sources use S'jet. While the competition is pretty narrow in some places (the HWC website uses Sjet but the HWC manual uses S'jet) it looks to me like S'jet wins narrowly. However, if we want to put it to a vote, I'd be willing to see it moved back.
Technically speaking, S'jet would actually be the proper phonetic spelling, since "sj" doesn't form a phoneme and there's a definite stop between "s" and "j." That said, these linguistic conventions shouldn't overrule canon, but merely inform it, so take that as you will. Niirfa-sa 08:47, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

The current image on the page shows Imogen not Karen[]

The character we saw and heard in the Dec 2021 trailer was confirmed to be not Karen but her descendant Imogen S'jet. This was confirmed by Gamestar in their impressions video about the new gameplay trailer revealed at Gamescom @ 8:50: https://youtu.be/OhFpwyKzPBw?t=530 So it's still completely up in the air how Karen looks in Homeworld 3 and if it will be voice by Heidi again. And whatever voice we have heard in the Dec 2021 trailer is most likely Imogen's as well, considering how the trailer shows Imogen reacting to the narration at the end.
